Third Tower – Montale is the smallest and most secluded of San Marino’s three famous towers, rising on the eastern peak of Mount Titano. Built in the 13th century, Montale Tower completed the republic’s defensive system, working in coordination with the Guaita (First Tower) and Cesta (Second Tower) to protect the city.
